Poe was with us for 8 1/2 years and
was a mystery since day one, keeping us on
our toes as she darted around, trying to topple us. We almost never knew what she wanted. Well, except
that
she always wanted
her kibble! She was a very typical cat in many ways, being suitably aloof when we wanted a cuddle and ready
for
cuddles when we had things to do.
Poe was a social eater, meaning that when she was ready to eat, she wanted company. Sometimes
sitting down to our meal was enough for her to eat too. Other times she wouldn't eat unless we sat beside
her on
the floor, petting her while she ate. The latest twist was that she would eat for a bit and then meow
until
we rotated her plate before she would go back to eating. You may be thinking that we were enabling her
but she used cat-Jedi
mind tricks on us. We were powerless!
